Fish & Loaves Community Food Pantry is a volunteer organization. More than three hundred volunteers from area churches, community organizations, and businesses serve without compensation, apart from the pleasure and pride in knowing that they are making a difference in their local communities. There are hands-on volunteer opportunities at Fish & Loaves for almost all ages in our store, warehouse, or office. Volunteer time is scheduled to accommodate your availability and the needs of the pantry in any given week. Church, community, and business groups can also request special projects suited to both their abilities and availability.
Volunteer Training Prospective volunteers are asked to attend an initial orientation which is held on Monday and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the Pantry.
Volunteers learn how their personal gifts and talents can serve current pantry needs. They will also tour of the entire facility and have an opportunity to schedule their first volunteer shift. To volunteer or to learn more about volunteer opportunities, please call the Fish & Loaves at 734-442-0031.
